I’m not religious, but it was still super to cool to write Mary Magdalene the cinematic
Easter story she’s always deserved.
My role was to come up with an idea that positioned the LDS church as a leader in celebrating Easter. The concept: Focus on the first person ever to celebrate it: Mary Magdalene, the woman who ran to tell all the good news.
My partner Shane Dawson and I developed the concept, wrote scripts, and delivered an insane amount of story boards to sell the story through to production.
